Bradford-on-Avon based health and beauty brand proto-col will be providing world class athletes with world class hospitality at the home Olympic qualifier later this summer. All competitors will be treated to goody bags full of proto-col’s products designed to aid health and nutrition, while Pentathlon GB officials and volunteers will be wearing event polo shirts supplied by the brand.

This really is the cherry on top of the cake for Pentathlon GB, following an outpouring of support for the sport in recent weeks.

Nigel Laughton, Pentathlon GB Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to have proto-col on board for the Modern Pentathlon European Championships (18-23 August). This has been a fantastic few months for us, with local and national organisations signing up to support the success of our British athletes”.

The European Championships is the perfect place for proto-col to share their products, with some of the world’s top athletes congregating at the home of Modern Pentathlon in Britain, the University of Bath’s world class Sports Training Village.

James Greenwell, proto-col’s Managing Director and Founder and an ex-pentathlete, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to strengthen our ties with the international modern pentathlon community and show our support for a massive sporting event taking place where the proto-col brand was born. The Modern Pentathlon European Championships will put the spotlight on the brand and our ‘informed sport tested’ products which are now used across the world by aspiring and elite athletes alike”.

proto-col is a keen supporter of multi-sport and already champions Pentathlon GB’s Olympic silver medallist Samantha Murray as one of their team proto-col athletes and is a sponsor of the National Biathle team in which James now competes.
