Harry Lane has been a competitive sportsman from an early age with success in sports ranging from Hockey to Modern Pentathlon.
In 2013, aged 17, he represented the England Open Tetrathlon team but started to focus his training on running and swimming. In 2013, his first year of committed training he placed 8th National for Steeplechase and was introduced to the sport of Biathle. Within four months he placed 5th at the European Biathle Championships and was part of the GB gold medal winning team.
In his Gap Year before taking up a place at Loughborough to read Psychology, Harry spent 6 months working and training in Kenya, including training with many of the British athletics squad at Iten high altitude training camp. In 2014, his second year of Biathle, he became British Champion and improved on the previous year’s European result by winning individual gold and becoming the 2014 European Championship.
