Chris Roxburgh

GB Duathlete team 2012/13/14/15

Since using green magic I have felt more healthier and vitalised. It has helped me train, compete and perform 12-15hr shifts as a paramedic to the best of my abilities and withhold the constant battle from nasty illnesses.

Chris began his sporting career as a talented hockey player, representing Wales at an international level as well as Regional and County Levels. Playing at a National League level week in week out before he turned his focus on competitive road racing on the bike, racing around the country and in 2011 he eventually found Duathlon.

The Bristol Half marathon was his first running race and only did it as one of his colleagues told him he would get a good time. From here Chris has gone from strength to strength managing to qualify for GB in his first season of duathlon and competed in the World Championships. Finishing 17th gave Chris the urge to better himself.

The 2012-2013 season saw Chris team up with GB ex Pentathlete and top trainer Andy Mackenzie. Gaining top class coaching saw Chris make massive gains managing to finish 7th in the 2013 World Championships. 2013-2014 has already begun extremely well and Team Proto-col has very high hopes for Chris is the 2014 World Championships.

Training and working as a Paramedic takes its toll on the body and Chris is benefiting from the nutritional support he is gaining from Proto-col.
