A phenomenal week for two team proto-col athletes who became world champions.  Samantha Murray took not only the gold medal at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in Warsaw last Friday, but also a silver medal for Great Britain in the team competition, as well as setting a new pentathlon world record in the 200 metre freestyle swim!  James Greenwell’s dominating performance at the World biathle series 5 event in Weymouth over the weekend saw him being crowned world series tour champion.  Harry Lane also built upon his successes this season at the same event by winning a gold medal in the Junior Men’s competition.

It has been a really busy July  for our team proto-col athletes with some amazing results and successes. This months team proto-col news includes medals and placings for James Greenwell taking silver medal and team gold in The Masters A series Biathle in Portugal over this weekend; Angela Hannah who achieved bronze medal Canoe Sprint European Championships in Brandenburg and Samantha Murray achieving 8th place at the  Modern Pentathlon European Championships in Hungary the previous weekend.

Samantha Murray best of the British athletes.

Samantha Murray and Britain’s women narrowly missed out on the Bronze medal this weekend at the Modern Pentathlon European Championships in Hungary.

London 2012 Olympic silver medallist and Team proto-col sponsored athlete Samantha Murray was the best placed British finisher in the individual competition, finishing in 8th place, with Freyja Prentice just behind her in 9th.

Murray, French and Spence made up the GB team and their scores in the individual competition counted towards the team event, where Britain were just edged out of the medals in 4th.
