You might have used it in marinades for meat or for vegetables. There’s a chance you’ve drunk it in a juice. And you’ve almost certainly eaten it in a curry. But I’ll wager you’ve never tried turmeric tea.
“We’re aware of just how good lemon and ginger are, but a lemon and ginger tea becomes even more powerful with the addition of bright yellow turmeric and some spicy red cayenne. Turmeric is detoxifying, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial (good against viral and bacterial infections),” says Jasmine Hemsley in her recipe for “Pep-Up Turmeric Tea” from the new book she’s written with her sister Melissa, The Art of Eating Well.
