It’s that time of year again, as the autumnal weather draws in and the nation get ready for this year’s build up to Christmas snuggled on the sofa to watch Simon, Louis, Cheryl and Mel battle it out with some of the UK’s newest talent.

As X Factor 2014 returns to our screens images of the judges attending the press launch have dominated the celebrity columns. With Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Sarah Jane Crawford both stunning the press with their bold ruby red lips it’s clear to see the classic red lipstick still dominates the red carpet whatever the season.

Have you ever had the feeling that you were meant to get involved with a business?  I did and it started when I worked in a local gym. That business was becoming a proto-col Ambassador.

I’ve always been a sporty person and have played netball and athletics to county standard as well as ice hockey and other sports. Not surprisingly I picked up sporting injuries along the way.  Becoming a massage therapist and working part time in a gym was ideal for me. The beautician in the gym salon had a cabinet displaying her nail polishes, body scrubs and collagen capsules. It wasn’t too long before I booked myself in for a pedicure and asked the beautician about the collagen capsules.  The beautician said they were good for your hair and skin.  I bought a months supply for myself and I started selling the collagen capsules from the gym salon. I didn’t notice any great miraculous changes. In hindsight, I realise like with any supplement the effects happen over time.

Vitamin D3 is important for good overall health and strong and healthy bones.  It’s also an important factor in making sure your muscles, heart, lungs and brain work well and that your body can fight infection.

Your body can make its own vitamin D3 from sunlight.  You can also get vitamin D3 from supplements and a very small amount comes from a few foods you eat.

The vitamin D3 that you get in your skin from sunlight, and the vitamin D3 from supplements, has to be changed by your body a number of times before it can be used.  Once it’s ready, your body uses it to manage the amount of calcium in your blood, bones and gut and to help cells all over your body to communicate properly.

Omega oils – fatty acids


What are Omega oils – fatty acids?

All fatty acids are composed of chains of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms.  The differences between fatty acids lie in the molecular configuration, producing differing health effects between fats.

Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are known by another name: omegas.  There are three types of omega fatty acids:  omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are two types of polyunsaturated fat.  They are considered essential fatty acids because the body cannot manufacture them.  Omega-9 fatty acids are from a family of monounsaturated fats that also are beneficial when obtained in food.
